This Parks and Missions Ride is a destination event introducing members/riders to the local parks and missions. Riders will meet at the start and register for the event. The location facilitates a breakfast meet up where riders can team up, plan on the destination park/missions of their choice, and depart on their one or two day event ride. At each park/mission riders will need to take a photograph of their bike and themselves in front of the park/mission. While at the National Park, riders must obtain a park stamp on a piece of paper and photograph it. The four photos are to be sent to the Traveler’s Award Chairman. After verifying the photos, riders will receive credit for the ride. Detailed rules are listed below.
The objective of this ride is two-fold: First, introduce riders to local national parks and local missions that are part of the SCMA California Adventure Series: CA (25) National Parks and CA 21 Missions.
Second, this will be a charity event to support Mission San Antonio de Padua and their restoration efforts. San Antonio is off the beaten path and doesn’t receive many visitors. It is located in the Central Valley about 25 miles west of King City on the Hunter-Liggett Army Base.
