    3:00 am - 9:00 pm

The 39th Annual Three Flags Classic Motorcycle Tour will leave Tucson, Arizona on Friday morning August 29, 2014 and arrive in Harrison Hot Springs, British Columbia on Monday, September 1, 2014.  Register between January 1 and May 15, 2014.  Online registration opens on January 1!   Ride tickets will be sold for $275 and current SCMA membership is required to gain access to the online registration page.

Please read SCMA’s monthly newsletter and regularly check the SCMA website for announcements that emerge during the run up to the 2014 event.  SCMA will make every attempt to post timely and relevant announcements about the ride.

Convenient online registration using PayPal or your credit card will be available again this year.  We encourage all riders to use online registration.  It makes record keeping and the administration of the ride far more easy for the TFC committee.  Mailed payments will be accepted as well.  Mailed payments MUST be accompanied by a completed rider application.  Your SCMA membership must be current at the time you register for the ride and during the ride.

Up to 250 tickets will be sold on a first come, first served basis.  We will not conduct a drawing for tickets this year.  Please register and pay for the ride in January or February 2014 to give the volunteers a fighting chance of managing the administrative demands of the event.

Mandatory sign-in for ALL RIDERS will be on Thursday afternoon and early evening on August 28, 2014 in Tucson, Arizona.  You must sign a release of liability form and verify your SCMA membership status to receive your rider’s package that includes special TFC merchandise, turn-by-turn route instructions, your TFC passport that you will submit at each checkpoint for signature and a stamp.  You will also receive a TFC start card.

You must fill-in your start card and hand it to a TFC committee member on Friday morning, August 29, in the start hotel lobby.  The start card verifies your participation in the ride, allows us to track you for your safety, provides us with the statistics we announce at the ending banquet, and provides us with your most current emergency contact information in the event you are missing or injured.

Departure will be the morning of Friday, August 29 and the ride will end in Harrison Hot Springs on Monday, September 1, at 9pm PDT.  The ride banquet will be Tuesday, September 2.

Checkpoints are set for Torrey, Utah; Twin Falls, Idaho; and Walla Walla, Washington.  Riders are CAUTIONED AND HEREBY NOTIFIED that the start hotel, finish hotel, route, checkpoints and opening times are subject to change in the event of an unanticipated problem.  A pre-ride of the route conducted by the TFC committee will be conducted some time in June or July to verify the roads and to confirm arrangements.  Room reservations and other mid-route arrangements made by riders may have to be changed to accommodate route or checkpoint adjustments made by the TFC committee.  Tentatively:

Checkpoint #1:
Torrey, Utah (Ride Milestone 660):
Friday, August 29, Noon to 8PM
Saturday, August 30, 6AM to 9AM

Note that checkpoint #2 is now Twin Falls, Idaho and no longer Boise, Idaho.  Snake Harley Davidson has offered its dealership and will have technicians standing by for maintenance:
Checkpoint #2:
Twin Falls, Idaho (Ride Milestone 1270):
Saturday, August 30, 11AM to 8PM
Sunday, August 31, 6AM to Noon

Checkpoint #3:
Walla Walla, Washington (Ride Milestone 1798):
Saturday, August 30, 6PM to 8PM
Sunday, August 31, 6AM to 8PM
Monday, September 1, 6AM to 9AM

Checkpoint times will be published on the SCMA website, on the Three Flags Classic forum and in the SCMA newsletter that is published monthly.  Watch the forum for possible time changes.

You must visit all checkpoints during their official hours to be declared a finisher and to receive a custom belt buckle.  Riders must complete the ride and arrive at the finish no later than the announced closing time.
