Post 4 Corners Tour and C. 19
on: March 28, 2020, 11:56

Hello all you 4 Corners entrants and future entrants.
As you all probably know the Corona 19 Virus has turned the world up side down in just a
few short weeks. Borders are closed and even cities are closed. Restaurant's, fast food, Bars, anything that attracts large crowds with people in close proximity is closed. Even March Madness is cancelled 🙁 and the SCMA Executive Board at its next Board meeting will discuss and look for remedies for the problems that the C. 19 is causing for our riders.
As you know the 4 Corners Tour allows you 2 years to start and then 21 days to finish the Tour. If for some reason you can't start the 4 Corners Tour this year then all that is needed next year (2021) is a new Release of Liability (ROL) sent to the 4 Corners current address.
Please state on the ROL that you are a 2020 entrant and your phone number. You use your 2020 towel and everything in your starter box.
Which brings up a C. 19 problem. Because of the affects of the Corona 19 Virus and the
effects and burdens placed on California (where most of our vendor products come from)
it looks like the starter boxes will not be going out to the 4 Corners Entrants until the end of April. Sorry for this, but it looks like the State of California has shut down for the time being. Any questions I can be reached at (805-889-5220) or USA4C@SC-MA.com.
Ride safe, keep your social distance and we all can get through this.

Rick Brown and I did the Four Corners Ride 2 weeks ago. I know we will not get credit for it, but the conditions could not have been better: hardly no traffic, most tolls were closed, police are generally not ticketing and there were only about 5 cars at each hotel where we stayed. We did the San Ysidro, Blaine, Madawaska and Key West journey. We finished the ride in 9 days and averaged 837 miles per day.
