Hello all!

I'm a new member, and since I didn't see an "Introductions" topic I figure I'd get the ball rolling.

My name is Frank, and I'm from Fallbrook, CA.

My ride is a Honda ST1300, and it's my daily commute, rain or shine (looks like the former today.)

I'm a married father of two kids in college. I guess that's it, glad to be a member and look forward to chatting it up and meeting you folks!

😀 Welcome Frank!! Whooooo hooooo......... GLAD to see you ride every day!!!!

Pls give us more of an intro like what do you do for work. In addition to riding daily, do you do any local/long distance trips?

Do u like to ride solo or with groups.....

Looking forward to meeting you!!

Hi Mitch!!

Glad to hear you ride daily.....................love it!!!

Are you going to do any of the SCMA sanctioned rides? There are a LOAD of them and there is a LOT of experienced riders here with a million tips if u need them at all.

Ah, Introduction...

Katie here. Have known about SCMA since I learned to ride years ago when living in the SF Bay Area(God Bless you Milpitas Honda, gone but not forgotten). Left for many years, now back. Current ride is a 2013 GL1800. Charter Life AMA member, IBA member, GWRRA member, TMRA member. Don't put on the miles I used to as I now work out of the house (but don't miss the Bay Area commute traffic!). I am a Certified Medical Coder (CPC, RCC, CIRCC) and exclusively audit Interventional Radiology encounters for hospitals nationwide. After many years of LD riding I decided to go on record and joined IBA with a SS1000 just last year. Planning a BBG (San Jose- SLC and back) for May, work and logistics cooperating.

Looking forward to meeting other SCMA'ers in August. 😀

Hi folks! I'm new to SC-MA and sorta new(ish) to riding. Started riding 50+ years ago then got sidetracked for about 25 years. Then my son said he he had met our criteria for owning a bike (graduated, job, signed up for MSF class) and why didn't I take the MSF class with him...and...hooked again! 😉 I alternate between an '09 Wee-Strom and an '00 DR-650. Love them both but most of my longer rides are on the Strom. I will retire this summer and am aiming at ramping up my distance riding. I've signed up for the Mission Tour and the Parks Adventure, and belong to the IBA and the AMA. I'm hoping I can get more tips on long distance riding from some of you veterans!
