Post 2015 National Park Tour - update
on: March 17, 2015, 00:02

🙂 ...... Hello riders the SCMA has only 6 riders entered this year for the National Parks Tour. 10 riders completed the tour last year, you have 12 months to ride to all corners of the Golden State. As Four Corners and Three Flags Classic qualified riders this should not be much of a challenge to complete this event. The SCMA have congratulated Ed Westlund this year for his Sixth year in a row doing the California Adventure National Parks Tour. I will look for more riders to step up to the challenge of the National Parks Tour.

Could you please post the list of the National Parks involved? This tour seems much more complicated than the Missions tour and requires more planning to ensure one has enough time to do them all. Not to mention the website mentions 24 parks, and there are 26 according to the NPS.

I did the Parks Tour last year and it was a hoot! I recommend it highly! The reason there are only 24 parks required is that is is a little tricky to ride to some of the others, like Alcatraz or the ones that require long rides on dirt and gravel. The parks required are those you don't have to ride an adventure bike (or one with water-wings) to get to.
