Post US-550 closed near Durango, Colorado due to fire

News media reporting closure of US-550 “Million Dollar Highway” near Durango as of June 1, 2018. Hopefully this will be very short term closure. Anyone planning on riding this road in early June should check with CDOT or La Plata County authorities.

14 mile section near Hermosa, CO is now closed. Fire is still active as of 10PM 6/2/18 Denver time.
