Post To Blog or Not To Blog, That Is The Question.

Do you blog? If so why? If not, why not?

I am not a blogger. Simply bcs it is more "work" or 1 more thing I have to do. Closer retirement I get, the more I do not want to do anything that resembles work.

Albeit as I try to s-l-o-w d-o-w-n when I ride I may change my mind. For now, I am not going to blog while riding. Nor 1st thing in the morning when I am anxious to get going and ride. That leaves the evening but then there is little to no "down time" to just relax let alone time to be a blog-head.

Blogging to me would require an obligation, 1 more thing I have to do. I just do not want 1 more thing of something I have to do. An unnecessary draw on my time 🙁

So, are you a blogtite or an anti-blogtite? [I know blogtite is not a word.....but according to the Seinfeld episode abt dentists, it is now a word. 😀 ]

Hey Buzz...

I put a blog together as something fun for friends to see if they are interested. It also memorializes highlights for things I do when I get back. Without it I can't remember the trip in as much detail. I typically do the journal after I check into a hotel and use the hotel computer. I do this with a cold drink and it allows me to relax. I also don't do it every night, usually every other day depending on how I feel. I reconstruct from the expense journal, gas receipts and photos on the camera. Just to let you know it IS work, but you'll find after you check in, you have no schedule, and it fits in quite well at times. If you bring your laptop it's also comfortable doing it in the privacy of your room.

Remember, you don't have to do it, but you can set it up in advance if you decide you want to while on the road.

I agree with Steve. The process helps me review my day. Savor the good moments and hopefully learn from the bad. I wait until I get back to the motel after dinner. That way I've had time to decompress, sort things out in my head, then I'm ready to write. And, as Steve said, the blog is there for future reference and enjoyment.

Hmmm, u guys are making me think. You both sure make it seem easy 'nuff.

I typically just toss my PIXs i a folder appropriately named and when I open the folder I allow the PIXs to tell the 1,000 words / PIX story.

Sometime I should give it a try as u guys do it. And TCK, I figure with u getting in late so often, it does not offer you much downtime to do the write up brief or not.

Y'all opening up my eyes.
