The twenty-one Spanish missions established from 1769 to 1823 extend from the coastal seaport of San Diego to the Sonoma Valley. All are beautifully restored to capture the era that defined the character and culture of California.

Join the fun by purchasing a passport book from SCMA detailing all 21 locations. Add a photo of yourself and/or bike at each of them, then submit the completed passport to us, and after we review and approve your photos, we will return it to you and present you with a CA Missions pin and plaque in recognition of your accomplishment.

This is a perfect event for the beginning touring rider.  It can challenge your routing skills, discipline on the road, time management and resourcefulness but in large or small doses if you choose.  The CA Missions Tour will help you “level up” to more advanced and challenging rides.

For the advanced touring rider, the CA Missions Tour will take you to places along the California coast that you probably would have never thought of visiting!

The SCMA California Missions Tour opens for Registration January 15, 2024. ALL road/checkpoints must be completed in one calendar year between January 15th and November 15th with ride logs submitted no later than November 30th.

To participate in the CA Missions Tour , you must be a current member of the SCMA.
