The California Adventures Series of rides are meant to take you to areas of California you may never have thought to travel.

California is our third-largest state by area and encompasses nearly 165,000 square miles of diverse geography. Its terrain varies from the renowned Pacific Coast to the majestic Sierra Nevada mountains and from verdant Redwood forests to the arid Mojave Desert. Every region of California has sinuous roads that can yield breathtaking vistas or geographic rarities. While many are well-documented like the Pacific Coast Highway, others are more obscure and lie well clear of the usual tourist destinations.
The California Adventures Series (CAS) rides were created to showcase areas of California you may have never experienced.
CAS Missions Tour
The CAS Missions Tour provides a glimpse into California’s progression from Spanish colony to Mexican province and is focused on coastal California between San Diego and Sonoma.
CAS Parks Adventure
The CAS Parks Adventure visits 24 National Park sites throughout California which highlight geographical features and human accomplishments that helped shape California.
CAS Roads Challenge
The CAS Roads Challenge features a series of 4 collections of 15 roads each that focus on the journey rather than the destination. Even Californians are likely to experience a road not previously ridden.
“Best Of” Experience
Each of these tours has been developed with the input of riders with many years of traveling California, so you really are getting a “Best Of” experience from the perspective of longtime residents. Riding any one of these three tours will give you a taste of what makes the state of California unique; completing all three will ensure that you’ve seen the best that California has to offer to the motorcycling community.
Combinations
Completing any one of the CAS Adventure Series rides counts as one of the three SCMA major events to complete your pursuit of the SCMA Triple Crown Award. There is also a California Triple Crown, which is awarded to riders who complete the CAS Missions Tour, CAS Parks Adventure, and at least one CAS Roads Challenge series in a single calendar year.
When planning your chosen CAS ride, you may also want to be aware of the target roads and locations in other CAS Rides. The are several instances where a destination for one CAS ride has destinations for other CAS rides in the vicinity. Schedule permitting, those seeking a more challenging tour might consider doing two or even three CAS rides at one time. Whether you opt for concurrent CAS rides or choose to complete them one at a time, you’re sure to enjoy all that California has to offer to a motorcyclist.
