Mother Road Adventure Meet In the Middle Rally
SCMA has planned a meetup on Saturday, May 16, 2026, at the CENTER of Route 66 in Adrian, Texas. A dinner is planned at the Texas Roadhouse in Amarillo, Texas. This will be a great time to usher in 100 years of Route 66 the Mother Road.

Rally Schedule
- Saturday, May 16 – 4:00 to 6:00 PM: Meet & Greet at the “Big Texan”.
- Address: 7701 Interstate 40 East Access Rd Amarillo, TX.
- Saturday, May 16 – 6:00 to ? PM: Group dinner at the “Big Texan”.
- Area has been reserved for the SCMA in rear of restaurant behind bar.
- Access to the full menu and individual checks.
- Sunday, May 17 – 10:00 AM: Meet at the Route 66 Midpoint Sign, Adrian, TX• About 53 miles (one hour) from Amarillo
- Aerial drone photo lineup: Eastern Segment riders on the east side of the sign, Western Segment riders on the west side.
- After the photo riders are free to continue their journey or relax at the Midpoint Café and Gift Shop right there in Adrian.
Registration:
- Charge for the rally is $50 and includes the following (couples need not register for each attendee unless desiring two sets of swag):
- 8×10 Commemorative rally photo of riders and bikes at the Midpoint sign with Rally logo and Centennial of Route 66 added to the picture. Photo will be mailed out to each registered rider soon after the rally, a PDF version of the photo will also be e-mailed.
- Cool towel and stickers, all with Rally logo.
- Commemorative rally Challenge Coin.
- An optional T-Shirt can be purchased for $40 with SCMA Logo on front pocket area and the Rally Logo on back.
- Swag and Shirts, for those who ordered them, will be passed out during the Meet Up and dinner on May 16th.
Accommodations:
- First Choice: “The Big Texan Motel”. This motel is adjacent to the restaurant, across the parking lot, and is offering our riders 20% off on reservations.
- You MUST call the motel front desk directly to make a reservation and receive the discount. Their number is 806-372-5000, tell them you are with the SCMA.
- If you desire to stay here at the Big Texan Motel please make your reservation ASAP, they really are filling up fast.
- Other Options:
- We have arranged through Hotels.com for a list of hotels that will provide our SCMA members a discount in Amarillo. The link below will take you to a page where you can make a reservation, while they last, at your favorite brand hotel. Recommend choosing one on the east side of town close to the Big Texan restaurant.
Additional Info:
- Breakfast Sunday morning May 17th at the Midpoint Café and Gift Shop in Adrian TX is a very good option. The owner is doing her best to accommodate our group for breakfast starting at 9:00 am. The Café is directly across the street from the Midpoint sign where we’ll be taking the photo at 10:00 am.
- This is a small Café.
- Another breakfast choice for Sunday is right at the Big Texan restaurant, Yes, they are now open for breakfast as well starting at 8:00 am.
