Three Flags Classic (TFC) plaques were given to registered TFC riders at the start of the ride, starting some years after the first ride in 1976.  We will fill in the few missing ones when we locate them.  Riders have had a love-hate relationship with the plaques since they needed to find room in their luggage for the often heavy and sometimes bulky object or go to the post office and mail it home.  In recent years we have chosen to mail out the plaque and other swag directly to riders.  The plaques vary in size and many of them take advantage of the size and depict the route and checkpoints in addition to many of the same features on the belt buckles.  There is a lot of variety in style and materials used.
